Fundación Ola Igualdad is an Ecuadorian organization born in Galápagos that designs and implements social, community, and environmental initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality, socioeconomic inclusion, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.

We work from a territorial, participatory, and cross-sector approach, building alliances with local, institutional, and civil society actors to generate relevant, sustainable solutions adapted to each context.

Galápagos is a unique territory where human well-being and nature conservation are deeply connected. From that experience, we develop initiatives that bring together equality, inclusion, and sustainability, with the capacity to adapt and generate impact across different territories.

Our Purpose

To drive processes of social and environmental transformation that strengthen the leadership of women and communities, promote rights, expand opportunities, and contribute to sustainable development from the ground up.

Our Approach

We develop projects based on the needs, capacities, and priorities of communities, promoting participatory processes that integrate training, accompaniment, community action, alliance building, and institutional strengthening.

We connect gender equality, community participation, environmental sustainability, and social well-being, with the conviction that the most effective solutions are those built with people and adapted to their realities.

Our work draws on scientific research and social innovation, combining evidence, territorial experience, and community participation to develop proposals with rigor, relevance, and sustainable impact.

Areas of Action

We strengthen the leadership, autonomy, emotional well-being, and participation of women in social, community, economic, and environmental processes.

We promote initiatives that expand opportunities, training, economic autonomy, access to rights, and well-being for women, families, and communities in vulnerable situations.

We promote educational, community, and environmental actions that connect care for nature with human well-being, territorial resilience, and ecosystem protection.

Where We Are Headed

We aspire to establish ourselves as a nationally and internationally recognized organization in the design, management, and implementation of social, community, and environmental projects with a gender, rights, and sustainability focus.

We seek to strengthen strategic alliances, mobilize resources, generate evidence, systematize results, and develop replicable models that contribute to a more just, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.
