History and Community
Created from an ancient volcanic cone shaped by marine erosion, León Dormido consists of two large rock formations separated by a narrow channel. This formation rises approximately 148 meters above sea level, creating a striking landmark in the middle of the ocean. It is located about 10 km northeast of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and is accessible by sea only.
